Bunny's Langkawi Stash

Bunny went for company trip last weekend to Langkawi. It was my 1st visit there and I really enjoyed myself there. I didn't take any photos as I was feeling shy as I only just recently joined the company for about 2 weeks.

We stayed at Lanai Beach Resort which was ok but their food sucks.

Sinful stuff such as Chocolates, Ciggies, and Alcohol were so cheap there! Even the Dinning, baking, kitchenware were extremely cheap there! I was so tempted to buy a few sets of Corningware and Visions Cookware back but at 10kgs a box...I didn't as I didn't have my coolie Hunny with me.

Here's my stash worth RM200.00....my dad's bottle of Green Label Whisky was so cheap!!! I only paid RM100 (duty free price was RM110) as my Managing Director was there and I got additional discount...kekeke...even my chocs were cheaper...

Aiyo...Cote D'Or Chocs in "mainland" Msia usually costs about RM18.90 a bar...in Langkawi they were RM9.90! So freaking cheap~ The Hersheys were RM7.50 to RM13.90 only and the Kinder Buenos were RM11.50 to RM19.90. Very very cheap compared to the after taxed prices.

I will definitely be back with my Hunny for a visit!!! Really nice place to visit...must go during low peak season bec it'll be much cheaper. :)

Bunny goes shopping at Subang Parade

I am taking a short break from food blogging to blog about how I spent RM120.00 in 1.5 hour which left my Hunny shaking his head and nodding to sleep at Mc D's whilst waiting for me...He has a favourite phrase on the retailers...."Female's money very easy to make profit"

I first spent my 1st RM33.90 on a kimono dress. I finally tried it on n found that it does suit my body but have to wear a tube underneath bec it's very low cut...

Next, I spent RM14 on this bracelet...cooling when I wear...

My yummy cupcakes.... 2 for RM5.....

Then, shoes....ever since my foot accident in late Sept, I stopped wearing my 3 to 5 inches high heels due to the injuiries sustained and been wearing fake Crocs everyday and everywhere I go. Yes, I am cheap...I wear fake Crocs but they do provide me almost the same level of comfort as the real ones do. They are priced at RM16.99 a pair under the brandname Asadi in Giant but at least when they spoil, I can immediately buy a new pair~....!

I was browsing around and came across this shop called "Red Modani" in between the Sach Shop and Triumph Boutique. The shoes are decently priced and best thing is their shoes are very comfy! I was pleased as I have broad feet and the styles that I tried on didn't pinch my toes or "bite" my heels.

This is the casual wedged heels that I bought and left at my bf's place just in case we go out to nicer places. Very comfy!

This is my new work shoes with 1 inch heels....may look tacky with the clear plastic but very comfy and best of all, it has ventilation! Got holes at the sides on the plastic part....at least my feet can breathe!!

These 2 pairs only cost me RM68.00 after discount which is a steal for its design and comfort levels offered!

No wonder my bf say women money very easy be earned by retailers. Lucky me, my bf not stingy after the last time I said he was stingy as he subsidized me on half of what I spent. To me, I say it's well worth my RM120 as it comprises of a dress, 2 cupcakes, a bracelet and 2 pairs of shoes as I know some people are willing to spend the same RM120 on 1 piece of clothing or just on accessories or 1 pair of shoes!

P/S: I will next update (when I m in the mood) how I spent RM350.00 buying 5 pairs of pants (3 long and two 3/4's) and 1 long skirt from British India!

Haruki

This is a non-food post. Haruki is my sister's yellow labrador who is such a naughty bundle of cheekiness which somehow can't make us angry with him for long. He is 5 months old to date and is quite big already. I remember that he used to be the same size as my 14" notebook.

Usually, he's so active but today he was willing to pose for photo...

Haruki totally engrossed in chewing a bone

Cute, hor?

Current Updates

I have been neglecting this blog due to an overload of work in the office recently...due to downsizing, my company has decided not to re-hire certain positions after the original employee has resigned causing the workload of those who have gone o be spread out and absorbed amongst the rest of the employees...I too, has been affected by this change. Hence, I work longer hours and come back too exhausted to blog or even indulge in my favorite macrography...

Bunny Feet Care Part 1

When my foot starts looking like this...I'll know it's time to exfoliate and moisturize it well. This happens as a result of not wearing stockings when wearing shoes or wearing slippers...yes...slippers or no heel backing sandals can cause this to happen to my feet as the friction created from the non support with a combination of not caring towards my feet will look like this. I think my Hunny wouldn't want me to play footsie with him using this foot...

Yesterday whilst browsing in Watson's Store at Sg. Wang Plaza, I saw this...

Waaaaahh....Lil Foot Covers just like in the manicure/pedicure shops. I bought a pair at RM8.90. Hopefully I will remember to rub in the foot cream daily and maybe if I am more hardworking...to cling wrap my feet and then put the foot covers on for a better effect.

I plan to go for a pedicure tonight so that I can have smoother soles and continue the maintenance more easier....

Do you have the same problem as I do? Any tips on feet caring for me?

My Hunny...*mwaks!* *mwaks!* *mwaks!*

This is my Hunny feeling relaxed and relieved after meeting my family for the first time....whilst waiting for me to finish up the Tazo Lemonade Iced Tea in Starbucks yesterday...

The Art Of Wrapping...

Let me show you "The Art of Wrapping A Bandaged Foot" before going in to shower....
3 weeks ago, if you read my blog here , I fell and twisted my ankle during this trip. I have been rubbing Deep Heat Rub cream on my ankle every so often hoping that the ache would go away without realizing that my nerve was dislocated instead.
Therefore, after aching for the past 3 week, my hunny finally brought me to see a sinseh (a term used for traditional chinese doctor and in this case, a medical bones and joints doctor) last Saturday. After hearing stories from my friends and mum on how a sinseh would pull the nerves/joints/bones before snapping them back into place, I was really nervous that i had to go see him as my ankle was sore n stiff till the point that I couldn't tip toe anymore.

Upon reaching there, he was halfway having lunch with his family but he was free. He was very chatty and thank god he spoke Cantonese and I can chatter in simple Cantonese...he poked a few spots on my ankle to ascertain the pain points and then told me that I had dislocated a nerve and I confirmed that the spot he poked was the most painful spot....whilst he was talking to me...he suddenly twisted my ankle and I heard a pop and a "CRACK!!". My hunny jumped out of his seat and came over to my side to hold my hand. I felt a little better instantly. Then I was told to turn over to my tummy completely and then he stretched my leg and ankle at a certain angle and it went "CRaAaACccCkKkK.......!!!" again. It did hurt a little but after that...my ankle felt loosen and natural again.

He rubbed my foot with some alcohol to disinfect my foot before using a pad filled with his medicinal herbal paste to put on the area affected and he bandaged my foot. I was then told not to wet my foot, avoid eating crab, duck and some other seafood which in chinese medical beliefs to be of poisonous nature and would impede in healing. 1st attempt to bathe without wetting my foot was a failure. With only 1 plastic bag and using a rubberband to secure it resulted in a wet foot >.< ...

Then this morning, I took great precaution by wrapping my foot first with cling wrap...

Then I wrapped it with 1 plastic bag tied securely and then with a rubberband....

Next, a bigger plastic bag...tied securedly at the side and another rubberband...

This is how it looked before I entered the Bathroom....

Voila...!! Only the 1st plastic bag had water seeped through but my foot is still dry.....

Tonight, I am going back to the sinseh again to change the medication. My ankle hurts abit though unfortunately because a guy with his heavy leather shoes stepped on my injured foot today... :( . I hope to be back to wearing my lovely high heels by end of this week.

How The Fuel Hike Has Affected my Dog.....

Hello Everyone!

My name is Arwen and I am mormorbunny's guard dog and pet playmate. My owner tells me that this year is a very bad year...petrol prices has gone up! Rice prices has gone up! Food prices has gone up! Basically almost everything has gone up or going to go up but my owner's salary has not gone up...!!

Hence, my owner has not been able to give me the normal quantity of special treats anymore. Hence, my carefree dog treat days are gone. I am also affected by the human govt's call to "Ubah Gaya Hidup" or also known as "Change My Lifestyle".

1. This is what my usual pack of doggy treats contain...I usually get a whole piece of whatever that is in there...

2. Now...my strips are divided into 2s or 3s to make the packet longer lasting...

3. See...after dividing....a packet of dog treats can last me at least double to triple times....

My owner has made my doggy treats packet stretched longer. Sigh...I miss the good old days of ample doggy treats...!! I pray with my doggy heart to God to please "Decrease Oil Prices" !!!!!

Ratz & LRT Tale

This morning as I was going to lock my dog in so that she don't run out as the car reverses out of the driveway...I saw this!

I nearly had a heart attack...so gruesome...I quickly took my camera out to take a pic of this but I guess my hand was shaky due to shock...

--------------------------------------LRT Tale-----------------------------------------------

I got up the LRT and I sat in between 2 guys...1 Malay and 1 Chinese...both in their 40s I guessed...then poor bunny sat in between them and kena squished as they were 2 broad shouldered males.

I don't understand why the Chinese guy chose to sit in the middle seats when there was a corner seat available next to him! I took my paper out to read and he was reading and then he and I were scuffling for right of space to read. Suddenly, he said "Please watch your line!" while pointing out the metal pole in between our seats. I admit I was reading a bit over his line but he still had space on his left side and he could have moved his paper a bit over to his left but no....he had to utter that remark to me and fight space with me. I was feeling so pissed off already as I was being squished by a sleeping fat Malay guy next to me. I should have stood up and pointed out to him that so what I crossed over abit of my newspaper to his seat...that petty Chinese guy's shoulder was 1 to 2 inches into my seat! But I didn't as the LRT was already squished packed at that time....stupid rude old Chinese guy...and I noted that there was no wedding ring on his fingers...meaning he's not married....since he's such a petty guy! Not even a gentleman...u wanna define your space??? Drive to work then! You low tolerance petty male!!!

Bunny Casualties

Hrmmm....I seem to be getting hurt easily nowadays ever since I indulged in my outings for photography.

1. Nosebleed - A result of too many hot days and my body was really heaty. Who ever who brings bunny out on hot days must ensure bunny gets enough cooling liquids to consume.

2. Got scratched by a bouganvilla flower last Sunday. I only felt sore last Wednesday. I think it was my own body healing and the split skin was beginning to stick together again. Damn itchy and I am tempted to peel off the drying scab but I must resist to avoid scars!

3. Got bitten by huge mosquitoes in Bukit Gasing...I think this is not the normal mozzies...damn itchy...and painful though...

4. So itchy till I scratched it till bleeding. I hope this is poisonous blood...carrying the itchy poison away.

5. Got something bite me near my toe...damn itchy...

Sigh....I think different mozzies work on different strains of mozzies...my patch didn't work although it worked at Cinta Alam. My roll on repellent didn't work in Cinta Alam. Anyone have any sure win formula to apply and avoid these blood thirsty mosquitoes???

Save Shilpa Lee??

I normally don't write on articles regarding current affairs or political issues but sometimes some of the people in the government pisses me off.

Malaysian newspapers didn't show what a gorgeous girl Sufiah (who now is known as Shilpa Lee) turned out to be as they showed pictures of her when she was young. The UK newspaper portrayed her new look now and I was like....Ooo-La-La...!!

If you didn't know anything about Sufiah Yusof a.k.a. Shilpa Lee, news reported early this month that former child genius Sufiah Yusof is now a prostitute who earns 130 pounds an hour. She used to be a mathem, atical genius. I felt sad when I read about her torturous childhood whereby she spent her days learning, studying, praying and not allowed a normal carefree play around life like other normal children. Personally, I think children are supposed to have a balanced life of playing and studying (I know it's difficult to have equal balances) and not studying and entering university at the age of 12 to 13! In fact, I have read of majority child geniuses end up being pushed too hard and when they reach adulthood, they burn out more quickly than their counterparts.

When Sufiah was about 15 years old and halfway in Oxford Uni, she rebelled against her dad and ended up in foster care for the next 3 years. She tasted freedom and was too busy enjoying her new life to pass her final year in uni. Then it was also during her final year in Uni that she met her husband whom she was married for a year and ended up in a divorce. After that, she worked as an admin clerk only to be approached by a social escort agency. She agreed to be a social escort as she was behind in her rent and credit card bills. Her 1st job netted her 250 pounds and that was her starting point. She was elated with her new job and doesn't view it as dirty. In fact, she has clients buying her expensive stuff such as dresses and bags and she also has a regular clientele. She is doing this voluntarily and actually enjoys having sex with different guys. She describes herself as a student who has 32D boobs, 5.5 feet tall and a size 8 body looking for older matured guys.

This is an excerpt from New Straits Times dated 2nd April 08....

"KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister's Department and the Malaysian Missionary Foundation (Yadim) will try to assist former child mathematics genius Sufiah Yusof, now aged 23 and fending for herself as a prostitute in Salford, Manchester.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Zahid Hamidi said they would help the gifted girl return to the right path through the "Save Sufiah Programme". "The first thing we should try to do is to contact her mother or arrange a meeting with Sufiah to find out the reason she turned to prostitution, offering her services through the Internet, using the name 'Shilpa Lee'," he said.

The "Save Sufiah Programme" is headed by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim who will come up with strategies to assist Sufiah."

Only in Malaysia, the government views it as We have to Save Sufiah and even came up with a "Save Sufiah Program". In my head when I am reading it, I am wondering why do they have to save Sufiah? She's not even a Malaysian national anymore. How are they going to save her? Rescue her from England and bring her back to Malaysia and do what? She is so famous already now and how will other people view her if she did go back to being a mathematician? I am wondering if this is just an excuse to travel overseas as the government officers travel funds has been cut?

This article has set me thinking...What do you people think? Does Sufiah need rescuing? She is already 23 years old and no longer a child? To me, we should just let it be. I think the government is better off spending the money they plan to use in the "Save Sufiah Program" to help those needy people in Malaysia first.

On the Day I don't bring my Camera out....

On the day I don't bring my camera out, things happen to me....

Yesterday was one of those days. The elevators in my office were cranky and one by one shut down and needed maintenance. Out of the 5 elevators available, only 1 was working and it had to cater to all 20 floors of my office building's staff. You can imagine how long it'd take for that 1 and only elevator to go up and come down. After waiting 15 minutes for the elevator to come so that I could go home, my colleague told me that it'd be better to walk down than get stuck in the lift just in case it also broke down from overworking. In my mind....I was like "Waaaaaaahhhh...!!!!"... because my office was on the 12th floor. In the end, we walked down the stairs...it was quite dim and eerie but we had company as people from the higher and lower floors were also doing the same. In my mind, I was thinking...aiyah....if only I had my camera...can take floor by floor numbering. Going downstairs took us about 15 minutes. I do hope the elevators are working today because I don't think I have energy to climb up to the 12th floor. It'll be sheer madness and no..I am not bringing my camera out today either.

Post Snatch Thief Trauma

I know that I should be thankful for many things.

I was LUCKY for so many things during this incident.

I was LUCKY I wasn't hurt badly over the incident...physically wise...just a sore leg, shoulder, arm and some fingers

BUT I am mentally scarred though

I was LUCKY I lost items that are replaceable with cash

BUT money can never buy back the contacts and smses I have in my lost phone

I was LUCKY my new camera, IC, Touch & Go Card were not stolen as well

BUT I lost my cash, business cards, member loyalty cards, driving license, brand new iPod shuffle, ATM and credit cards, calculator, umbrella, my favorite shawl and other stuff that I can't think of now

I was LUCKY because I was carrying a cloth bag that night and that I wasn't holding my bag too tightly

OR I'd be dragged, slashed and get hurt even more badly

However, now I am paranoid of going out. I can't walk on my own past or next to open roads. I am scared when I see or hear motorbike sounds.

I know life goes on. I know I have to be more careful nowadays...especially when I rely on public transport to get around.

To all my readers, no matter whether you drive or rely on public transport like me, please be ultra careful. It's not just the ladies who get rob...but they do target men as well.

I was a Snatch Thief Victim Last Night...

I was a victim of a snatch thief last night at about 8pm. To those who have my mobile phone, do not call me and do not pick up any calls if it's by my number in these coming few days. I plan to buy a new phone on this coming Thursday or Friday.

It happened 3 houses away from my own house in PJ ss3...I was coming back from pasar malam* at 8.15pm and I was tengah korek** my bag for my hse keys when I was pushed n my bag was grabbed from me. I normally walk in the opposite direction of cars driving with my bag on my inner side but as I was only 3 houses away...so I crossed the road to the side where my house is. I didn't hear any motorbike coming and I only gave out a small cry and not a loud cry because it was useless. (*pasar malam = night market; **tengah korek = halfway digging in Malay)

I was lucky in a sense that I was wearing flat shoes , my camera was in my other hand bec I bzbody took it out to snap pictures of the BN* rep belittling the DAP* rep and so it was out of that snatched bag, my mini purse where I keep my IC, Touch & Go Card, my IKEA card also escaped the snatch. I lost my handphone (luckily it's 6 yrs old n left only RM7 prepaid credits), my designer long purse with HSBC credit cards and part of my salary, my complete set of hse keys and gate remote control and other stuff. Now my phone line and credit cards has been cancelled. Most fearsome was how to sleep last night because the thieves got full set of my hse keys..if that pair pressed my remote control, my gate will open..so we offed the gate's power supply tonite n let the dog loose and hoped for the best. (*BN & DAP = 2 political parties in my area vying for the state and parliament rep spots)

My mum was scolding me on y I didn't hear any motorbike sounds of which I really didn't hear. Never even ask me if I was hurt or not. I was suprisingly calmed throughout the ordeal. The first thing I did was cancel my HSBC cards as I had already cleared my my limit and didn't want the thieves to swipe my card. I cancelled my phone line and ATM cards at the Balai Polis* (*Balai Polis = Police Station)

Then at the Balai Polis, another snatch thief victim told us that the snatch thieves will actually not press / step on their accelerator and leave it in free gear so that it can move but soundless...then they snatch and then press their accelerator and zoom off. That was y I didn't hear any motorcycle sounds. The other snatch thief victim was unlucky in the sense that she had to have 15 stitches to her left hand because her snatch thieves on the bike had a parang*. (*long cutting knife for plants)

Now, I must say my parents and I are totally freaked out and they have given me orders on asking them to pick me up wherever I am and that no more buses or walking alone for me. As for myself, I have decided to leave shoulder, sling and waist pouches alone for the moment. I am now using a clutch bag but my mum advised me that pockets are the best. However, pockets can only carry up to limited items and have to be careful of pickpockets.

This morning wake up blur and tired. Now I am still at work trying to finish off my month end closing so that I can take leave tomorrow to replace all my necessary documents. My right hand's fingers and shoulder are a bit sore as they grabbed it off me.
If drive car, scared bang from back or shatter glass windows to rob...if walking outside, scared snatch thieves or kidnap...what is Msia coming to??? It's not safe for us ladies!
