Bunny Eats At Kinpachi in ss17, Subang Jaya

Hunny brought Bunny for our belated Valentines Day Dinner at Kinpachi Japanese Restaurant in ss17, Subang Jaya. It's located at the turn off road to the Shell and Esso station opposite the Wisma Consplant (next to Subang Parade). I have seen that place since i studied in a college in Subang Jaya many years ago and it has survived all through these years.

Hunny ordered a Hokkai Sashimi Moriase Set which came with 3 slices of fresh salmon, fresh sweet succulent scallop and 2 roe rich prawns with sweeet sweeeet flesh...very yummy ...RM58.00

Hunny then recommended the porkchop or tonkatsu as he said it don't taste like local pork...RM30. It came looking non oily...it was crisp on the outside and succulently tender on the inside and it most certainly did not have that tell-tale porky smell...I wonder wat they did to it....

Hunny's Maki Set came....it was a huge portion and real sushi grade rice was used...some Japanese restaurants like Kiku Zakura uses normal rice but charge exhorbidant prices...Hunny was full after finishing this.

Next came my Nabeyaki Udon noodles. I wasn't expecting such a huge claypot of noodles as other places serve smaller portions for that price or even more expensive...! This cost RM17. The broth was clear and tasty and came with a chockful of veges, some chicken meat and a tempura prawn. The udon noodles are freshly made as the texture was different and it absorbed the broth it was soaked in. The soup was still steaming hot even after 30 mins!

We paid RM153 for this meal but it was worth it. I wished they had Uni (Sea Urchin) as I miss it very much. Thank You Hunny for bringing me to such a cosy restaurant!
